Psalm 33
Richmond CM
You righteous, joyful sing in praise,
How apt to praise the Lord.
With ten-stringed lyres, come, music raise.
With harps come praise the Lord.
Let’s sing to him a song that’s new;
Rejoice! With skill let’s play.
The Lord’s own word is right and true;
He’s faithful every way.
The Lord loves what is right and just,
The earth’s filled with his love.
The Lord's word made the heavens exist,
His mouth's breath stars above.
He gathers seas into a jar;
The deep he puts in store.
Let all the earth the Lord now fear;
Its peoples, serve with awe.
For by his word it came to be;
At his command, it stands.
The Lord foils what countries agree;
He thwarts the people's plans.
But the Lord's plans they stand so strong,
He'll never them recall.
The purpose of his heart goes on
Through generations all.
Blessed is the land whose God’s the Lord,
Those who he chose as his.
From heav’n the Lord looks down toward
The earth and mankind sees.
He forms the heart of everyone,
Their works he keeps in sight.
A king’s not saved by arms of men,
Nor warriors by their might.
A horse gives no deliverance,
Its strength gives hope no ground.
The Lord's eyes looks where reverence
And hope in grace is found.
He will such ones from death set free,
When nothing’s in the field.
In hope we wait, the Lord will see,
He is our help and shield.
In him our hearts are made so glad
To his pure name we’re true.
Lord, may your grace upon us rest,
Ev’n as we hope in you.
